IIRS CHAIRMAN ANNOUNCES FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF ELECTRONIC REVENUE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ACROSS ALL SECTORS

The Chairman of the Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS), Mr. Justice Okoye, has announced the full deployment of the new electronic Revenue Management System. This move marks a significant milestone in the State’s drive toward a more efficient and transparent tax administration.

In a strategic meeting held with unit heads and revenue heads at the Local Government Areas, Mr. Okoye emphasized that all revenue-related processes, including the issuance of Harmonized Assessment, will now be conducted electronically. This transition eliminates the manual system previously in place, ensuring greater efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.

This new system simplifies all revenue management process, making it seamless and more accessible. Mr. Okoye stated. All taxpayers will now receive their assessments directly via email and SMS. This enhances convenience and aligns with our commitment to modernizing tax administration in Imo State.

The adoption of the electronic system will improve compliance payment of taxes, reduce delays, and enhance the overall experience for taxpayers. IIRS urges all taxpayers to ensure their contact details are up to date for prompt and efficient information dissemination.
