His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State has approved the appointment of Mr. Justice Remigius Okoye (FCA) as the new Acting Chairman of Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS) for the second time. His appointment takes effect immediately.
Mr. Justice Remigius Okoye (FCA), a native of Amanator-Ihiteowerri in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants (FCA). He comes with ample experience in accounting, tax matters and other disciplines.
Mr. Okoye takes over from the immediate past Interim Chairman, Dr. June Chiaka Levi-Oguike who had been at the helm of affairs of the Service since September 23rd 2022. The handover ceremony took place today, Monday, the 5th of August 2024 at the IIRS headquarters, Okigwe Road, Owerri.
