The Debt Management and Enforcement Department of IIRS on Wednesday, 14th August 2024, sealed off the premises of eight (8) hotels/apartment within the state.
The affected hotels/apartment include:
– Lavianto hotel,
– Titanic View Hotel and suites Ltd,
– Heroes Luxury Apartment,
– Zoey International hotel,
– Benconn Hotel,
– Hotel Ibis Royale,
– Hotel Arizona Ltd and
– Zeeworld Hotel.
The said defaulters refused to comply to tax remittance in accordance with the tax laws.
The IIRS remains devoted in ensuring full compliance with extant tax laws and
urges all taxpayers in the State to be consistent in remitting their taxes as at when due to avoid sanctions.The enforcement unit of IIRS will continue the exercise until maximum tax compliance level is reached in Imo State.
