IMOVREG, a first of its kind in the South East is a proprietary vehicle licensing administration platform developed in-house by the ICT Department of the Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS) for the Imo State Government and was introduced on 24th of October 2022 by His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Executive Governor. It is a robust platform that has simplified and streamlined the registration and renewal of vehicle particulars through secure, digital, and automated processes that ensure accurate data capture while effectively countering the proliferation of counterfeit documents that had plagued the registration and renewal of vehicle particulars for some time.
Since its inception, IMOVREG has recorded tremendous success in motor vehicle license administration. It has made the process more efficient and convenient for vehicle owners, while also helping to reduce fraud and corruption, leading to a significant increase in the State’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
