The Executive Chairman of the Imo State Internal Revenue Service, Justice Okoye, today received a delegation of content creators led by Dike Osinachi.
The Executive Chairman warmly welcomed all present while observing established protocols. In his address, Justice Okoye (FCA) enlightened the attendees on their civic responsibilities as citizens of the state, emphasizing the importance of paying taxes promptly and the role of the IIRS in revenue collection. He further highlighted the numerous infrastructural developments undertaken by the Imo State Government under the leadership of Hope Uzodimma, as well as the administration’s commitment to advancing technology-driven initiatives across the state.
Speaking on the purpose of the meeting, the Chairman stressed the importance of collaboration, noting that social media has become a powerful communication tool in today’s world. He explained that the large followership enjoyed by content creators would significantly help amplify awareness of the Service’s new initiative, OCORA, particularly at the grassroots level.
In his response, Dike Osinachi thanked the Executive Chairman for the opportunity and remarked that any business not leveraging social media in today’s digital age may struggle to remain relevant over time. He commended the administration of His Excellency for the impressive road infrastructure across Imo State and requested detailed information about the OCORA initiative to ensure proper understanding and effective dissemination. He also pledged to engage other content creators who were absent from the meeting and assured the Service of their collective support in promoting its initiatives, while working closely with the Corporate Communications Department.
The Executive Chairman, Justice Okoye (FCA), appreciated his remarks and expressed pride in having committed and influential individuals such as him contributing positively to the growth and development of the state.
