The Management of the Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS) organized a Strategy Session with Heads of Departments and Units on Saturday, 1st February,2025. The session was necessary to position the Service for optimization of revenue generation in 2025.
During his opening remark, the Executive Chairman of the service Mr. Justice Remijus Okoye (FCA) carefully outlined IIRS operational structure for 2025 as he highlighted the need for IIRS to adopt the 4P’s (People, Platform, Process and Partnership) for efficient and productive outcome.
The Chairman reassured Staff that the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma has promised to provide enabling environment for the service to function more efficiently and also look more into Staff welfare.
There were Presentations made by various Departments and Units on the vision for 2025 as well as strategies to achieve the visions.
Mr. Bosun Ayeni, Chief Executive Officer, Compumetrics Solutions, the revenue solutions provider for Imo State re-assured Staff of a more seamless process as the State transits to a better automated system of revenue collection.
Mr. Michael Sonnie Ibeh, a tax practitioner from the Federal Inland Revenue Service encouraged Staff members to put in their best to ensure the revenue target for 2025 is met and exceeded.
The Executive Chairman Thanked everyone present for contributions made and encouraged Staff to uphold the Vision, Mission, goals and core values of the Service, so as to deliver efficient, effective and transparent services which will in turn enhance the IGR of Imo State.
